Kempes return to Passarella Records in September with a new double header, ‘Soul & Psyche / Movement & Expression’. Kempes is London-based producer and Passarella Death Squad’s founder Danny Passarella alongside Tom Wegg-Prosser of We Have Band fame.
The duo made their debut on Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant Music in 2017 and more recently released on Passarella for 2020’s ‘Yes No / Forever’ and its follow-up, ‘She Has Powers / For The First Time In My Life’ in May this year.
Primed for the reopening dancefloors, they deliver some twisted disco on ‘Soul & Psyche’, taking its familiar stomping sample into 21st century domain with vox effects and grinding beats, while ‘Movement & Expression’ brings a deep and hypnotic 3am warehouse atmosphere to its techno landscape.
