The Bedrock summer season continues with a techno-themed remix package. The Japanese Popstars’ ‘Matter Of Time’ (featuring Green Velvet) has been reimagined for 2020 with reworks courtesy of Coyu and OC & Verde, alongside a new techno mix from the Popstars themselves.
Seven years ago, The Japanese Popstars released their studio album ‘Disconnect / Reconnect’ (BEDTJP01CD) featuring the Green Velvet vocalised track ‘Matter Of Time’. This track was aimed for the darkest of dark rooms and nocturnal festival craziness and has been a contender to be remixed ever since.
Coyu, the Catalan DJ/producer, has apparently made his mark on Suara Music by growing it into possibly one of the most prominent labels in the world of techno and house music. He has been tweaking and testing his ‘Coyu 2020 Retouch' version, a tribal, hard-groove techno remix of the track for a while now.
Manchester duo OC & Verde make a return to the label, following their 2018 rework of the Bedrock classic ‘Heaven Scent’, with yet another remix. They unleash their interpretation in the form of an energetic, acid-tinged melodic techno remix and an additional instrumental dub remix.
The Japanese Popstars (Northern Irish duo Gary Curran and Gareth Donoghue), unleash their own techno mix to conclude the package.
