Riot Ten

Riot Ten debuts Volume 1 of his ‘BLKMRKT’ project, which sees the producer step away from dubstep in favour of house sounds. Including single ‘Wanna Go’ alongside Charly Jordan and collaborations with Michael Sparks and YDG, the 7-track EP shines a light on his versatility within house music, including bass house, deep house, and electro house influences. Looking to the music he grew up on for inspiration, the Texas-based artist is taking things back to his roots on his latest work.

Riot Ten: “House music was the first genre of electronic music that I really got into. I used to play tech house, fidget, and Dutch house back in the day when I was in high school DJing at house parties. The first electronic show I ever attended was actually Morgan Page in 2011.”

‘BLKMRKT’ is led by singles ‘Lost Your Mind’, and Charly Jordan collaboration ‘Wanna Go’. ‘Wanna Go’ has apparently become a summertime hit for the Texas-based producer, with This Song Is Sick noting that the “heavenly house feeler is one we frankly can’t get enough of.” Additionally, it was included in Spotify and Apple Music playlists, and garnered support from the likes of Zeds Dead, Alison Wonderland and Dim Mak boss Steve Aoki. The EP is rounded out by a bass house collaboration ‘Rude’ with Michael Sparks and a BLKMRKT VIP mix of ‘Hyphy’.

Riot Ten: “During my career, I've consistently put out house records here and there, but I wanted to make an actual project this time and give it a bit more light. I felt ‘BLKMRKT’ would represent the project best as you would not expect this sound from 'Riot Ten' per se. I'm beyond excited to finally put this out and I can't wait to hear the response. Welcome to ‘BLKMRKT’, I hope you enjoy the ride.”
