Spanish DJ and producer Rafa Barrios spearheads his Bandidos imprint launch with a house release entitled ‘The Final Chapter’. For almost a decade Sevilla-born artist Rafa has been gracing the wider house music communities across the globe with compositions on Hottrax and Repopulate Mars accompanied by DJ performances, including appearances at the likes of elrow in Barcelona and Igloofest in Montreal, through to Sónar Festival and ADE.
Amidst continued support from Carl Cox, Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, Danny Tenaglia and Reboot, Barrios now brings his skills to this new imprint alongside forthcoming contributions from artists such as Chus & Ceballos, Andres Campo, Fer BR, Carloh, Ramiro Lopez and Eskuche all on the horizon.
‘The Final Chapter’ opens with sharp synths, swinging percussion and syncopated rhythms until it is driven forward by a melody hook that cuts through and lifts the energy to new levels. Next, ‘Plumbing’ initiates an atmosphere with rattling shakers and vocal samples before pitched-down toms and bass realigns things aiming toward a more thundering dancefloor essential.
‘The Final Chapter’ drops on Bandidos on 17 April.
