Moon Boots

Brooklyn-based artist Moon Boots’ 2019 LP ‘Bimini Road’ showcased his soulful house music stylings and gained praise from DJ Mag & Mixmag, in addition to being named in KCRW’s ‘Top 10 Albums of 2019’. Following a pair of 'Tied Up’ reworks from Kenny Dope and Mat Zo, Anjunadeep debutants Wookie, and Garrett David now give ‘Clear’ the remix treatment.

With a stream of remixes under his belt for the likes of Disclosure, Haim and Faithless, Wookie’s rework layers Nic Hanson’s soulful vocal over a bumpin’ bassline and broken percussive beats. Having previously released on Lobster Theremin and now a resident at Chicago club Smartbar, Garrett David hones in on the original electronic-funk feel with bright staccato synths layered with classic Chicago house chords.

Moon Boots has a mission to try and make infectious music that transcends genre - songs not just for DJs and dancefloors, but for everyone. Inspired by the discovery of the ruins of Atlantis at Bimini in the Bahamas, the album combines elements of soulful and melodic house, disco and R&B. It includes the new single ‘Clear’ as well as 2019 summer tracks ‘Tied Up’ and ‘Juanita’.

The album features collaborators from both Moon Boots’ debut album First Landing and his 7-person live show. Black Gatsby (‘Power’), Nic Hanson (‘Keep The Faith’), KONA (‘Fortune Teller’) all make appearances. Ross Clark (St Lucia) contributes guitar to three of the album’s tracks. The album also features new collaborators, including Little Boots, Niia, Kaleena Zanders, and Gary Saxby of the Harlem Gospel Choir.
