Raz & Afla

New duo Raz & Afla have been regular on the airwaves this winter with their Afro-house track ‘No Touch’, which was picked up as Mary Anne Hobbs’ ‘Near Future Track’ on 6 music, Frankie Francis’ Amazing Radio’s single of the week and has gained support from Radio 1 & 1xtra’s Toddla T, Jamz Supernova, Worldwide FM and more.

The fresh collaboration is the work of Hackney-based producer Raz Olsher and Ghanaian musician Afla Sackey. Using organic percussion and electronic melodies, they build a hypnotic groove with a full spectrum of colours and sounds.

The song is a mixture of English and Yoruba and the lyrics are about unacceptable harassment to women. The duo want to encourage a safe and respectful environment in the club and elsewhere for all in 2020.

Released via Beating Heart Music, the track is a journey through the African continent and beyond. Between them they have worked with the likes of Sun Ra, Ginger Baker, MJ Cole and Basment Jaxx.
