Defected recently announced the acts confirmed for the inaugural Defected Ibiza Festival 2020, including Basement Jaxx, Gorgon City, Purple Disco Machine, Horse Meat Disco, Roberto Surace and Defected’s own Simon Dunmore. With artists selected from the Defected, Glitterbox and Classic Music Company rosters, the new festival follows the festivals in Croatia and London and is the biggest of Defected’s Ibiza offerings to date.
Highlights are likely to include the sounds of Basement Jaxx, who have been providing dance music staples since the mid-90s. Elsewhere, one of disco house’s biggest names, Purple Disco Machine will be stepping up to the decks to bring the Glitterbox disco vibes which have possibly given him global renown.
Also on the lineup are Ibicenan duo the Mambo Brothers, whose whole family have hosted Ibiza parties at Café Mambo for countless seasons and the Mambo boys have been a staple on Defected line-ups for the last three years.
Defected will also be joined by the UK pair Gorgon City, who are residents at Defected Eden. Elsewhere, disco house will be provided by Glitterbox regulars, Horse Meat Disco and new talent, Austin Ato will also be showcasing his skills - this follows on from his performance at Defected Croatia, which proved a standout highlight for Simon Dunmore.
