Matteo Saverio Cacciola aka Matt Sawyer returns to his VillaHangar imprint for the first release of 2020 featuring three house cuts entitled ‘Sunday Morning’ EP. Matt was born in Calabria and started his journey moving from his native city to Milan, chasing opportunities to express his passion of music. He started producing and remixing various tracks on labels like E- Lab, Area94 Records, WEAREMUSIC and Molto Recordings before being asked to release a track on Solomun’s Diynamic Music label.
In 2015, he met Andrea Pellizzari and they founded two independent labels, VillaHangar and Top Town Records. Villahangar currently counts 31 releases in total and ‘Scala’ kicks things off with revolving, natural percussion balanced harmoniously with melodic chords and bass grooves keeping things rolling.
‘Pressure Tango’ offers up alleviating atmospheres through rhythmic drums and leads in the distance before ‘Sunday Morning’ rounds off proceedings with gentle keys, warm vibrations and strings.
‘Sunday Morning’ EP is out on VillaHangar on 17 January 2020.
