Klangkarussell

At Benicassim Festival this summer Austrian electronic music duo, Klangkarussell, apparently played to a packed out tent that drew crowds from across the site. This follows a summer of festival performances and shows that have seen them play to crowds across the UK, Europe and further afield in South America.

This month will also see Tobi and Adrian play their Night Tales headline show in London (20/9), before flying to Beirut, Lebanon for Decks On The Beach (21/9). For the remainder of the month they’ll be holed up in Southern Italy writing the remaining tracks and songs for their forthcoming second artist album, due out in 2020, and preparing for a run of European dates and beyond.

‘Comoros’ marks the next stage in the evolution of their sound, and with the launch of Bias Beach, they have an imprint and creative outlet they can control, and also provide a label home for new and existing talent.

Klangkarussell, which translates to English as "Sound Carousel" -- were formed in Salzburg, Austria by Tobias Rieser and Adrian Held. Both producers in their own right, they first broke through with the jazz-tinged instrumental club record ‘Sonnentanz’, which reached the Top 10 singles chart in six different countries, including No.1 in The Netherlands.

Following the success of ‘Sonnentanz’, the duo then released their second single, ‘Netzwerk (Falls Like Rain)’, featuring vocalist Tom Havelock, and which also became a hit. Their debut album, ‘Netzwerk’, appeared soon after and sporting the singles ‘Hey Maria’ and ‘In the Crowd Alone’ appeared in 2016, followed by ‘Time’, ‘Circuits’, and ‘Good to Go’ in 2017.

After spending the last two years on the road, the duo’s second album is now within their sights.
