Afrodeutsche - the latest signing of Manchester based label Skam, which is home to early releases from Autechre and Boards Of Canada - layers ‘Day Dreaming’s haunting synths over analogue kicks and chopped-up, skittering snippets of Marie’s mantra-like spoken text: “A driver will drive you / A booker will book you / A promoter will pay you / A player will play you”. The remix, which is out now - comes backed with a ‘Beat Free’ version.

Completing the EP - out digitally and on 12” now - are two tracks: ‘Workaholic Paranoid Bitch (Nina Kraviz Workaholic Remix)’, as well as the previously unreleased ‘Nina Kraviz Workaholic Dub’.

The release follows both 2018’s ‘So Right’ EP and Marie’s ‘Working Class Woman’ album on Ninja Tune, which drew praise from the likes of The Guardian (“one of the biggest pleasures in contemporary electronic music”), Pitchfork (“a record slated in a milieu of chaos, loftiness, and beauty”), Resident Advisor (“Davidson's catchiest material to date”), and was cited as one the releases of the year by the the New York Times, Pitchfork, Mixmag, Resident Advisor, Crack Magazine, FACT, Pop Matters, The Quietus, Bandcamp and many more.
