Fresh from a summer on the Ibiza club circuit, Australian born artist Sonny Fodera returns with this two-track release on Defected. Taken from his debut solo album ‘Frequently Flying’, the opening track is a new remix from Qubiko.
The remix was originally part of Defected’s collaboration with Relentless Energy drink, but the track has now been released in its own right. Here the Italian DJ lends his bouncing basslines to the track as it aims for the dancefloor.
In comparison, Fodera’s own production sounds more stripped back, his rolling house sounds paired with the greater focus on Shannon Saunders’ vocals and the melodic piano, make for a track that may have both club appeal and emotional depth.
