Francesca Lombardo

‘Eye Ring’, the first single from Francesca Lombardo’s forthcoming ‘Life Of Leaf’ LP, displayed the Italian producer’s nature and artistic capabilities. Hailed by Resident Advisor as ‘one of her best tracks in recent memory’, it saw Lombardo create a blend of emotional and uplifting electronica in which her vocals sat front and centre.

Moving towards the release of her debut, Francesca enlists techno artist Martin Buttrich and singer song-writer Tom Adams, to remix her original.

Buttrich has firm connections with labels such as Desolat, Cocoon Recordings and Get Physical. Spanning a near 30-year career, from Grammy nominations to underground releases, his catalogue is lenghy. Now exploring another side of his repertoire, he delves deep into hypnotic realms, replacing classical elements with modern day synthesisers, transforming ‘Eye Ring’ into an after-hours cut.

Offering a new perspective, Tom Adams presents an atypically soft, downtempo and minimalistic approach to his remix; one that has since seen him enlisted by the likes of Nils Frahm for collaborative projects.

Layering drum sounds with rich synthesis in a way that leaves ample space for Francesca’s vocals, Tom creates a reinterpretation that aims to engage.
