Glitterbox returns to London’s Ministry of Sound tomorrow night. The brand reached new heights in 2016 after its residency at Space, Ibiza, while Ministry of Sound saw its fair share of action too, with roller discos and music from the likes of Basement Jaxx, Joey Negro, The Shapeshifters and Dimitri From Paris.
Dimitri From Paris headlines the party and will be joined by Grammy Award-winner David Morales, Glitterbox’s very own Simon Dunmore, Space 2016 residents Melon Bomb, plus Melvo Baptiste spinning rare grooves in the Loft. The dancing stars of the show, Hot Heels, will be out in force alongside performances from Kalypso Bang.
Just like the Glitterbox albums, the party’s soundtrack is a blend of obscure and sought-after disco and house collectibles alongside classic anthems – records that have defined and influenced the scene for over 30 years.
The brand’s parties at Space, Ibiza apparently drew tens of thousands of clubbers across 17 weeks, encapsulating the hedonistic spirit of the legendary venue during its final season. In addition to Glitterbox’s two events at Ministry of Sound, it also presented stages at We Are FSTVL and Defected Croatia.
Look out for the new ‘Glitterbox – Love Is The Message’ album, which is released 17 March on Defected Records.
