After months of preparation, Defected officially start their 2013 season in Ibiza as Booom! opens its doors to Defected In The House on Saturday July 13, with Defected at The Tower following on Monday 15. The Defected In The House Opening Party on June 13 sees Disclosure headline, with support coming from FCL (with Lady Linn PA) and Simon Dunmore.
Over at The Tower on the 15th, Defected host Frankie Knuckles alongside Osunlade, Simon Dunmore, Sam Divine and Shovell on Percussion. Disclosure have taken the electronic music world by storm of late, scoring two consecutive UK top 10 hit singles in ‘White Noise’ (#2) and ‘You & Me’ while their debut album ‘Settle’ debuted at No.1 in the UK albums chart. Further sets from the likes of Frankie Knuckles, MK, David Morales, Dimitri From Paris, Tensnake, Lil Louis and more are already confirmed over the coming months at Booom!.
The party at Booom! kick starts a top weekend of music from Defected, with Defected at The Tower bringing the Godfather of House to Playa D’en Bossa’s newest beachside venue. With new opening times of 7pm-1am, Defected at The Tower is a free weekly party showcasing international DJ talent, with sets from David Morales and Dimitri from Paris scheduled for July 22 and 29 respectively.
Said Defected Records founder Simon Dunmore: “The wait for Booom! to be ready has really raised the hype and expectations. Ibiza town needs a fresh perspective on clubbing and we, in association with Booom!, aim to provide exactly that.”
