Clubbing brand Pukka Up recently announced the launch of a DJ competition on its Pukka Up Boat Party Facebook Page with some top prizes. The competition should appeal to aspiring and undiscovered DJs looking for a break and the chance to play at high profile venues

One lucky DJ will win a VIP trip to Ibiza where they’ll play a closing party set at Pukka Up at Amnesia on 24 September; a party set on a Pukka Up’s sunset boat party; a warm up set at the Pukka Up Bar in San Antonio; a release on Pukka Up Records; a guest mix to air on Pukka Up Radio, plus free accommodation at the Kanya Sunset Apartments for the duration of their stay in Ibiza.

To enter, applicants must upload their DJ mix to Soundcloud and email the link to paul@pukkaup.com along with a photo and 100-word biography about their DJ career and music to date. All applicants’ photos and DJ mixes will be uploaded to www.facebook.com/pukkaupboatparty by Pukka Up staff where the public will then vote for their favourite by ‘liking’ their preferred DJ’s photo. The page must also be liked for the vote to count. The Top 5 DJ mixes with the most votes will then go to the Pukka Up Panel to decide a winner.

This year Pukka Up celebrates 10 years in Ibiza and by the season close on 27 September, it will have sailed over 200 boat parties and thrown dozens of after parties at Amnesia and Pacha. For more info, check: www.pukkaup.com
