Eighteen years is a milestone in any lifetime, but one The Gallery club night is especially proud of. What initially started off at Turnmills for a one-off gathering of just 50 people and is now based at Ministry of Sound, The Gallery continues to enjoy the pace of London clubbing. Next month, to celebrate its 18th anniversary, the brand releases three CDs which not only reflect its legacy, but its pivotal role in helping to shape the future of electronic music.
Residents Judge Jules and Gavyn Mytchel, plus favourite Simon Patterson, have re-created their peak time party experience by incorporating tracks which hold sentimental value, in terms of them rocking The Gallery to its core. They’re a personal DJ snapshot of the laser led madness, derived directly from their Gallery performances. Whether you’re a Gallery veteran from the Turnmills era, followed it from Farringdon ‘south of the river,’ or a Ministry newbie from recent years, these three mix CDs capture just a snapshot of its clubbing experience. It’s out May 28 on Enhanced Music.
