Garlands has always been about flamboyance of all varieties, but there has been one room that has always had its own personality – Bedlam! This is the room where the freaks some out, the dungeon of rave that only the hardcore need apply for. Upstairs you get raucous vocal anthems and decadent debauchery, but downstairs is all about fist pumping euphoria and underground stompers. This Saturday, 30th June, Bedlam turns six.
Although Bedlam’s reputation has been built on the residents, Anthony Chan and the mysterious Mr X, a special occasion always calls for outside assistance, and in this instance it comes in the shape of Italian firebrands Nari and Milani. Their fist pumping electro and euphoria inducing house music has been a big deal with the likes of the Swedish House Mafia, Benny Benassi, David Guetta and Tiesto, with one third of the Swedes Steve Angello signing their track ‘Atom’ to his Size Records imprint.
