King Street Sounds present Mood II Swing in the third and probably the most ‘classic’ of their recently created ‘House Legends’ series. Spanning the course of just under two decades, this comp is inspired by the songs produced by 4/4 heroes Mood II Swing and contains some of the most well-known classics in the King Street catalogue, including the smash hit ‘Closer’, with Carol Sylvan, complete with Original Version, Dub and Spencer Parker remix. Also included are some of the earliest label signings like ‘Lip Stick Bitch’ and ‘Nafara’, just a couple of the first tunes in the Nite Grooves catalogue.
John Ciafone's Full Swing Dub of Kimara Lovelace's ‘I Love You More’ is included and so is the Mood II Swing's Dub of Stephanie Cooke's ‘Holding Onto Your Love’, ‘Magical Life’ ft Lauren, and many more. Eighteen tunes in all that should make you stand back, listen and appreciate some truly amazing talent… and get you dancing too. Mood II Swing is production duo Lem Springsteen and John Ciafone who became one of the most in-demand remix teams in the ‘90s, when good vocal house was a dominant genre. With a career that started in R&B, it was the duo’s mix of Ultra Naté’s anthem ‘Free’ that catapulted them into the limelight. Remixes for artists such as BT, Janet Jackson and Nuyorican Soul followed, as well as the next Ultra Naté track, ‘Found A Cure’. This third edition of ‘House Legends’ follows on from Kerri Chandler and Frankie Feliciano. It’s out July 9th.
