We Love…

We Love...

This weekend We Love… opens their doors for the first time in 2012 for 17 weeks of festival style entertainment, all housed in the vast and distinguished confines of Space. Carl Craig, Derrick May, Innervisions, Paul Woolford and Tensnake will all be bringing their aural delights to fill Space’s environs with their signature sounds at the opening fiesta.

Bringing a box ticking selection of on-point artists and brands, three more musical stalwarts have been added to the season’s line-up; Tale Of Us, Shackleton and Mambotour. On the 29th July, Berlin-based Italians Tale of Us, step inside Space.  The duo rose to prominence last year with a clutch of remixes for the likes of Maceo Plex, WhoMadeWho and Thugfucker as well as through their own ‘Dark Song’ EP on Visionquest. These musical movements have quickly cemented them as possible leaders of the new school of techno, and exploded them into the global club consciousness. Shackleton and Mambotour both play live to close this year’s extended season on the 30th September.

We Love… linchpin James Zabiela wears a slightly different hat this year as he hosts the Discoteca, curating four shows with Born Electric, his new label project. The label will launch in September and will feature music that has caught James’ ear, both in the clubs and outside of them. Born Electric at We Love… will offer an exciting blend of established and burgeoning talent, Scuba, Midland, Paul Woolford, Modeselektor Live and Simian Mobile Disco heading up the bill amongst a whole host of others.

On the 2nd September it’s Vitalik’s turn as they take over the Terrace with very special guests Carl Craig, Four Tet b2b with Caribou and jozif b2b Ryan O Gorman. Originally enlisted by We Love... to kick off their inaugural 22-hour marathon parties, Vitalik became synonymous with Ibiza’s biggest Sunday after-party, and later harnessed that same energy, morphing it into the musical outlet that became Vitalik Recordings. Last year’s We Love… CD was a true reflection of Vitalik´s contribution to We Love´s… musical programming, featuring artists like Martin Buttrich, The Mole, Appleblim and jozif who have jointly become important members of both the We Love… and Vitalik camps.

It all kicks off this Sunday at 7pm through to 7am Monday morning.
