Since the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel opening at the beginning of summer 2011, thousands of discerning party people have passed through its pristine white gates, changing the face of clubbing on Ibiza by re-introducing the outdoor party and cementing the venue’s credentials as an iconic destination. Ushuaïa now occupies an enviable position within the landscape of Ibiza, perfectly poised to act as tastemaker for the 2012 season with summer residencies from some of the biggest names in dance music, including Luciano, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia and Avicii. Here, they capture some of those moments across two new albums spanning the day and the night.

Ushuaïa Ibiza | The Beach Album

The first album is for the day – a collection of blissful nu disco and electronic grooves designed to soundtrack Ibiza’s lazy beach days. indie tinged disco and slow house jams have been the choice of so many DJs over the last year – choosing subtlety rather than intensity to pull the punters onto the floor. A cutting edge selection of artists grace the tracklist from Maya Jane Coles and John Talabot to Crazy P and Tornado Wallace. Todd Terje’s new cut ‘Inspector Norse’ also features along with Mario Basanov, the elusive disco maestros Tiger & Woods and Wolf + Lamb favourite Greg Paulus.

Ushuaïa Ibiza | The Club Album

The second album is strictly for the night, an upfront collection of house sounds from deep, pre-club looseners to full-on dancefloor anthems. Jay Shepherd features, along with UK bass don Scuba and Pete Tong favourite Maxi Soundsystem. Osunlade brings the roots and London’s dance chart topping Huxley joins Recloose to finish off proceedings in a truly dance floor orientated fashion. The ‘Beach Album’ is out 18th June and the ‘Club Album’ is out 25th June.
