DJ Mikas – Timezone (DJ Mikas & DJ Sage Remix) (Progressive Grooves Records)
Wow, what an absolute mental tune to have as this week’s final tune of the day. When you consider where we started on Monday morning, with the softer tones of Lovebirds Featuring Novika, this DJ Mikas & DJ Sage remix of Mikas’ ‘Timezone’ is so far from this on energy levels, it’s hard to call both of them dance music. But, that’s why there are so many great genres within the dance music spectrum. ‘Timezone’ doesn’t do a warm up, it just grabs you by the balls as its tech-trance sound explodes through your speakers and continuous at 100mph right up until its breakdown… which is a short one, making sure energy levels are contained.
Then, it’s straight back into the main driving beat, dropping in drum rolls and the track’s main hook, as it takes a more prominent trance route. This track is huge and has already been getting great support from main A-list DJs, in fact, it’s hard to type this review when your hands keep flying into the air uncontrollably as it engulfs you. Like many others, this track’s been parked in our inbox waiting for some Wee Music Blog love, so it’s already out now. Have a listen to it below.
