If there is one name that has been synonymous with Miami’s annual March Music Conference for the last decade, it’s that of Pete Tong. Amidst the madness of endless DJ showcases, parties and label bashes, it’s Tong’s sets where you are guaranteed to hear the bleeding-edge tracks setting conference dancefloors buzzing, and at Tong’s Surfcomber pool party you’ll usually find the DJs and producers that everyone is clamouring to see. This month, Pete will play four shows, including his 12-hour take over of the Surfcomber, and a prime Saturday night/Sunday morning set at Miami’s legendary Space. Tong will also celebrate the release of a brand new double CD mix compilation with Groove Armada - ‘All Gone Miami ‘12’ on Defected - at the Delano with Groove Armada on Thursday night, before closing out the weekend at Wall on Sunday.
Following a stellar debut season at Pacha in Ibiza in 2011, and its recent sold out UK tour, 2012 sees Pete introduce his All Gone party to Miami. Pulling from the biggest names in house and techno, the All Gone Pete Tong Pool Party usually showcases the artists who will set-the-bar for the Miami season and possibly shape the sound of the year to come. The ‘Miami’ album, featuring an exclusive new production from Groove Armada (‘Disco, Love, Groove’), plus tracks and mixes from Goldfrapp, Jamie Jones, Subb-an, Kevin Saunderson, Kenny Larkin, Joe Goddard, Feel My Bicep, Dusky, Nina Kraviz, The Chain, NY Stomp and many more is a two CD mix of current dancefloor bombs and future underground anthems.
