Strictly Chill

Next week sees the release of Strictly Rhythm’s debut chillout compilation ‘Strictly Chill - Volume 1’. This release shows a new side for the Strictly label and is a great mix of chilled out versions of old and new classics from the label.

The original, little known mix of Wink’s ‘Higher State of Consciousness’ kicks things off and was first made for Strictly’s Deep and Slow set in the mid-90s (and previously unreleased for download), it gently ushers in the session, followed by another cult classic in Ultra Naté’s 4 Hero-produced ‘Twisted’ and perennial favourite ‘King Of My Castle’ by Wamdue Project, refreshed in lounge style by TJK and exclusive to this album. The album continues with mellow tracks from some of the label’s best producers over the years, including Charles Webster’s magical mix of Michel Cleis’ ‘La Mezcla’, Henrik Schwarz’s beautiful version of Code 718’s ‘Equinox’, more from Osunlade, Ben Westbeech, Afterlife and Dennis Ferrer and another exclusive to this release, Mood II Swing’s underground classic ‘Do It Your Way’. Chill out as you have a listen to the preview below.
