Roots Manuva joins previously announced headliners Shobaleader One, Squarepusher’s live band performing jazz funk versions of Squarepusher Classics, plus This Is The Kit, Nightmares on Wax, Greg Wilson, Actress (DJ Set) and more for this year’s FarmFest, which takes place at Gilcombe Farm, Bruton in Somerset between 28-29 July. Soundwave in Croatia is reaching its 9th season this summer, now one of the region’s longest running festivals. During this growth, the festival has also distilled and refined its ideal of what a festival should be about – it’s a world away from muddy fields, long queues and over-stuffed events, instead set in a sizzling climate on an coastal location in Tisno. Having already revealed their lineup to date, it recently announced its series of 13 boat parties taking place in July.

Earlier in the week, Electric Fields in Scotland recently announced Mercury Prize winner Dizzee Rascal as the second headliner for 2017, with Band of Horses, Glass Animals, Peter Hook & The Light, Kate Tempest, Car Seat Headrest, Real Estate, British Seapower, Anna Meredith, This Is The Kit, Aldous Harding, Marnie, Sacred Paws, Savage Mansion, Future Get Down, The Cut, The Vegan Leather, The Calm Fiasco, Nieves, 13 Crowes and Tiderays also appearing.

On Sunday 23 July Dave Clarke will once again host the ‘Arch Stage’, which was introduced to the festival last year, continuing to bring his passion for techno to Tomorrowland, and possibly flying the flag for the sounds of the underground. Dave will present a broad range of dance music and this will be the sixth year in a row he has been entrusted with his own stage at Tomorrowland.

The 4-6 May sees the fifth edition of the Sandbox Festival hit the Red Sea Riviera in El Gouna, Egypt and this year Ame, Butch, Mike Servito, The Mole and many more all play. El Gouna is a place where wide open skies and crystal clear seas shimmer in hot sun, where palm trees and local architecture make for a real paradise. As well as more than 70 acts in all, you can also enjoy kiting, diving, snorkelling, or relaxing by the sea if you're going.

This year’s Welcome to the Future Festival will take place on 22 July 2017. For the 11th year in a row, Het Twiske’s nature reserve, just outside of Amsterdam, will host possibly one of the Dutch summer’s most extraordinary house and techno events. Headliners include Loco Dice, Chris Liebing, Seth Troxler, Dave Clarke and Damian Lazarus.

EXIT Festival recently revealed the second wave of acts set to perform at this year's edition, which takes place from 6-9 July 2017, in Serbia. British soul musician Rag’n’Bone Man is heading to Exit Main Stage on Sunday 9 July. Author of one of the biggest hits in the world at the moment, ‘Human’, audiences and critics alike have apparently been won over by the combination of his deep voice, sincere lyrics and raw emotion.

The opening Defected Croatia festival apparently set the benchmark high but the brand looks set to raise it even further. In August 2017 once again there will be an array of house DJs, disco icons and underground artists playing through the day and into the night for six days of top music.

Iceland’s largest music festival, Secret Solstice, has been making waves since its first edition back in 2014, with a concept that several media outlets have dubbed the “world’s most unique music festival”. They’ve recently announced their initial line-up for the fourth festival edition in 2017, held from 16-18 June in Iceland's capital, Reykjavik, during summer solstice and 72 hours of sunlight.
