Avalon Child is the recently launched project from Hungarian producer Jay Lumen, an artist who is possibly known in the underground for his take on house and techno. From tech house tracks like 'Get Ready' to his breakout techno releases on labels like Drumcode, Suara, and Octopus, and his work on his own Footwork Audio imprint, he has been at the top of his game for nearly 20 years.

Now he returns once again with the latest musical missive from his Avalon Child moniker, ahead of a release on Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep In Sound.
Opener 'The Tree' features Sandra Bjurman, who brings wordless ad libs to a low-slung garage cover of the 'Hanging Tree' song. The drums are dusty and bumpy, with a bassline and energy in the synths.
'Rock It' brings more garage vibes with minimal energy and low-end, clipped vocals and neon stabs that bring a soulful edge. Last but not least, 'Home' is a deep-tech cut with electronic edge, vocal R&B samples, and a low end.
