Thomas Gold takes on possibly one of modern music’s most iconic tracks with his new reimagination of New Order’s ‘Blue Monday’, which is out tomorrow on Dim Mak. Celebrating the raw energy of the original while infusing a possible festival-scale punch, this new offering functions as both a tribute and a possible evolution.

Thomas Gold: “‘Blue Monday’ has always been one of those tracks—raw, iconic, and timeless. I’ve always dreamed of putting my own spin on it, not to recreate the past, but to fuse its original vibe with the sounds of now. I wanted it to hit hard, feel fresh, and still nod to its roots. When Dim Mak got behind it, that was the green light. I hope DJs will tear it up in their sets, and that people feel the same rush I’ve always felt when this track drops. Super stoked for this one!”

With a kick, synths, and a heavy low-end drive, Gold’s remix revitalises the New Order anthem, placing it in today’s club and festival circuit.

‘Blue Monday’ is out 20 June on Dim Mak.
