Colombian-born, Berlin-based DJ/producer Funk Tribu releases his single ‘Azul’ and simultaneously unveils TRIBE - a new record label and creative platform. Three days before his Boiler Room debut, he sat at his keyboard without a plan. A delicate, fleeting guitar melody came first, then the chords and everything clicked. The result was this latest track, a luminous, trance-imbued production.

Funk Tribu: “It was meant as a special intro for Boiler Room. But it became something way bigger. It’s one of the most asked-about tracks I’ve ever played. People really connected with it. It’s close to my heart - and I’m so excited it’s finally out in the world.”
Azul channels the emotional DNA that defines his artistic identity.
Funk Tribu: “I think people resonate with ‘Azul’ because it’s personal and honest - it came from a place of real emotion. That sincerity, I believe, is what listeners feel when they hear it. It becomes their story too.”
This release goes further than a track as it marks the arrival of his label - a multidisciplinary platform built around his vision as both producer and cultural intermediary.
Funk Tribu: “TRIBE offers a unique visual identity and focuses on fresh, boundary-free sound. The goal is to give artists complete musical and creative freedom. We want to provide a platform that’s bold, inclusive, and emotionally driven.”
On 6 September, it launches in Bogotá with a large-scale production featuring immersive lighting and visuals as a symbolic homecoming for Eduardo. In October, it also lands in Amsterdam during ADE in collaboration with Intercel, presenting another ritual rave.
Funk Tribu: “You can expect a lineup of artists who’ve never played in Colombia before, and a lot of new music I’ve been working on that will be released through TRIBE. We're also developing an immersive visual experience to go hand-in-hand with the music.”
