Solardo’s first-ever Trick record, ‘Psycho’, was released yesterday, hot on the heels of the label's 100th release from head honcho Patrick Topping. The title cut opens up proceedings in a rugged, stomping fashion with subtle hints of electroclash. The off-balance bass makes for a wonky workout while distorted synth pressure and sung-spoken vocals aim to send the party wild.
'Fall Apart' is another equally raw and off-kilter track with a warped bassline, gritty synths, and whirring machine sounds offset by tripped-out vocals.
Formed in 2014, Manchester duo Solardo have residencies at clubs like Hï Ibiza, have their own Sola imprint and have produced tracks and remixes for the likes of Ultra and Defected.,
