Radio Slave returns to his Rekids label with ‘Live My Life’, including a remix from Saved Records’ boss Nic Fanciulli. Responsible for various vocal tracks in techno over the past 15 years, this latest release which is out now, sees him turn in yet another tough cut that uses soulful vocal refrains as hooks.
Rolling grooves have been a prominent feature in much of his work, and ‘Live My Life’ is no different, paired with occasionally overlapping vocals. On the flip, Grammy-nominated DJ/producer Nic Fanciulli reinterprets Edwards’ original, in a version that sees an offbeat bassline and ever-evolving drums drive the track towards vocal crescendos throughout.
