With the European showcase festival and conference Eurosonic Noorderslag kicking off next week the program is now complete.  Taking place from 9th to 12th January 2013 Eurosonic Noorderslag is the key exchange and networking platform for European music, European artists, international music and interactive industry professionals and organisations.

With over 300 of the hottest new European artists confirmed for the 2013 edition, Eurosonic Noorderslag presents a broad variety of the best European talent throughout the city of Groningen in 40 different venues. The festival has been responsible for kick-starting the careers of many European artists including; Agnes Obel, Ben L?Oncle Soul Blood Red Shoes, Caro Emerald, Crystal Fighters, De Staat, Digitalism, Dry the River. Emeli Sande, FM Belfast, Franz Ferdinand, Goose, Iceage, Infadels, James Blake, James Vincent McMorrow, Kaizers Orchestra, Lianne La Havas, Lykke Li, Niki & the Dove, Nobody Beats the Drum, Selah Sue, Team Me, The Asteroids Galaxy Tour, The Ting Tings , The XX , Triggerfinger, White Lies, Yelle and zZz.

During the conference music industry heavyweights will take centre stage with Tunecore founder Jeff Price presenting the opening keynote presentation on Thursday, followed by Martin Mills from Beggars Banquet on Friday. Ray Cokes journeys back to Groningen for two special showcases featuring Dutch and international artists. You can expect a talk show with a difference, live music performed acoustically and the audience as an integral part of the show. Top interactive companies will be there to advise on the ever changing digital landscape including a keynote by digital music and media strategist Mark Mulligan and Google’s view on music and the creative industry.  

 

The European Festival Association Yourope will present three panels covering topics including cashless payment systems, festival insurance and festival contracts, Go Group bring green issues to the forefront including renewable energy and greener camping, with other topics including festival ticket sales presented by Pollstar, crowdfunding concerts with Songkicks CEO Ian Hogarth and Jason Edwards, Natasha Bent, Rob Challice, Steve Strange and Tom Windish, in the Agents panel.
