‘No Sugar’ is a collaboration between established UK producer/DJ Joey Negro and Serbian producer/DJ Gramophonedzie. After searching the internet for a unique-sounding jazz-swing sample to use on their first tune together, they came across the moody-but-sexy 'Sugar Sugar' on the Soundcloud of unsigned future-jazz vocalist Shea Soul.
The track, an authentic retro jazz swing ditty, fitted the bill perfectly. The result is the storming ultra-catchy electro-swing dance tune 'No Sugar'. 'No Sugar' leaps out of the speakers within energetic jazz groove, big band brass and an infectious scat before dropping into pure ‘50s-style swing showcasing Shea's delightful vocals as she tells us that her man "Won't get no sugar if he treats her bad". Solid DJ support saw it go to Number one in the Beatport dance chart for weeks and with radio support building including BBC Radio One, Kiss, Choice, Rinse and more, ‘No Sugar’ is set to continue tearing up dancefloors up and down the country. The track finally gets an official release in February next year.
