DJing and producing for about as long as the King Street label has been putting out records, Parisian deep house DJ Yass has seen more than his fair share of releases on Defected, D:vision, Purple Music, Kerri Chandler's label, DJ Spen's Quantize Recordings, and many others. He has also done a couple of originals and remixes for King Street, which you'll find on this 18-song soulful house Journey comp. 

A Wing, the electronic music event which transformed the former prison nestled in Lancaster Castle, makes its return to the prison in February 2015. Clubbers will get their next fix in the castle on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 February with an evening hosted by possibly one of the most infamous clubbing brands in the country.  

BH Mallorca is a brand new hotel coming to Mallorca, with plans to be an all in one party solution that offers outdoor dance music events, plenty of water park based fun and lots of luxurious rooms in which groups of friends can spend entire weeks in. And, as well as lots of nighttime activities, there will be plenty to do during the day at the venue.

Anjunadeep starts the New Year with two originals from Ashworth for his ‘Rebound / Whatever Weather’ EP out on 19 January 2015. Anjunadeep builds on its back catalogue that stretches over two hundred releases and features a multitude of talent with names such as Dusky, Vincenzo, Eli & Fur, Tom Middleton and Kahwe all appearing. 

The next EP on Danse Club Records comes from the brotherly pair behind the label, Brodanse, and will land just ahead of them returning to Fabric for a second set in the New Year. This new EP features vocalist Elli, who has previously worked with artists such as Dub Taylor and Geddes. The release will be complimented by a remix competition, starting the day after release, with the winner’s mix getting an official release on the label later in the spring.

Welsh vocalist Rachel K Collier offers up a free download of her bootleg of Drake's 'Hold On, We're Going Home’. The accomplished singer/songwriter shows off her production skills by delivering this downtempo house rework filled with atmospheric synths and light percussion - topped off with her smooth signature vocals. This is nice.

Armand Van Helden presents the next instalment of Ministry of Sound’s ‘Masterpiece’ series, available from 15 February. The ‘Masterpiece’ series is a concept fronted by high profile DJs an is an opportunity for the artist to curate a three disc musical journey that depicts their own influences and inspirations to share with their fans. Previous versions have came from Goldie, David Rodigan, Andrew Weatherall, Fabio & Grooverider and Gilles Peterson.

Hardwell recently released the next track from his debut artist album, ‘United We Are’, entitled ‘Don’t Stop The Madness’ with W&W and Fatman Scoop. The track originally  premiered at Tomorrowland back in 2013, and now finally gets its release on Revealed Recordings. 

Arty opens a window into his past by releasing a song he started years ago as a free download - ‘Night Like This’. The first Insomniac/Interscope records signee has put a hold on working on the finishing touches of his debut album to apparently give away this track as a thank you to his fans for all of the support over the years. The track has only seen the light of day in Arty's sets but now it is available for all.

Returning to Cadenza Records after two previous singles (‘The Motorglider’ EP and ‘Precursors’ EP), Eduardo De La Calle drops ‘The Methodical Machines EP’ this December on Luciano’s imprint. Across two pieces of vinyl, and five tracks, Eduardo flexes his sound design of minimal and soulful grooves. 

After the success of ‘Rhymes’, Hannah Wants and Chris Lorenzo’s dance floor track now has video accompaniment in the shape of a retro-styled homage to the ‘70s, a provocative tongue-in-cheek visual, directed by London-based Ivana Bobic. Featuring on Annie Mac’s AMP 2014 compilation and championed by the lady herself, ‘Rhymes’ has possibly become one of the biggest club track’s of the year since its release, having garnered over 700,000 plays on Soundcloud in the last month alone.   

Vitalik Recordings pulls together the likes of Mark Henning & j u g, Appleblim, Frankline De Costa and more with remixes from Gerd, Ehtly & Luv Jam for its ‘Vitalik A Retrospective Of One’ compilation this December. Ryan O Gorman and Henry Rumour set up Vitalik Recordings back in 2009 with a plan to translate the ethos and aesthetic of the parties Ryan had run in Ibiza under the same name with partner Joe Upton.

Steve Aoki recently announced that he is returning to North America for his biggest tour yet this coming winter. Dim Mak Presents Steve Aoki’s Neon Future Experience  will launch 13 February in Austin. Joining him on the tour are support acts Headhunterz and Caked Up, plus many more to be announced.

Desolat recently announced the release of their annual X- sampler. Due for release in January 2015 this latest addition once again provides a glimpse of the new sounds to expect from the label in 2015. Hauswerks ‘Why You Tellin’ Me’ EP was released this week via Jaymo & Andy George's Moda Black, comprising three original tracks from the man himself. Hauswerks, one of Moda Black’s rising stars, returns to the label with possibly one of his most dynamic releases to date.

EDX recently announced his Dubai Skyline Remix of Nora En Pure & Sons of Maria's single, ‘Uruguay’, due out on Monday 29 December via Enormous Tunes. Capping off a big year including several Beatport chart-toppers, apparent sold-out dates on his Progression of Sound U.S. Takeover Tour, and much more, EDX gets set for 2015 with his last production of the year. 

'Cycles’ is Max Graham's yearly snapshot of his own musical journey, a collection representing the natural progression in his taste. As always with the album, elements of melody shine through this mixed compilation, like Graham's own ‘Redemption’ and his remix of Solid Stone and Jennifer Rene's vocal tune ‘Not Enough’.

After serving up some original tracks from Obrotka, Abstract Music now enlists the services of Nikola Gala and Jay Bliss to rework one of his cuts. Obrotka has been active since the ‘90s, has apparently played almost every decent club in the world and because of his discography taking in labels like Deeper Digital, Abstract Music and Wasabi is possibly a revered part of the global dance community. 

Avicii, The Prodigy, Afrojack, Fatboy Slim and Knife Party top the bill alongside a host of other big names for possibly Southeast Asia’s largest music festival, Future Music Festival Asia 2015, which will be held at the Changi Exhibition Centre in Singapore from 13-14 March 2015. The festival will take over the 140,000 square-meter exhibition centre with an estimated 50,000 fans expected to converge over the two-days.

In 2015 BigCityBeats will once again transform the Commerzbank Arena into the ‘biggest club in the world’, running for three full days. On 5-7 June 2015 a gigantic ½-million-m² dance-floor complex will once again be assembled in the city of Frankfurt, Germany. The first two artists booked to play at the 2015 World Club Dome festival, as opening and closing acts, were recently revealed as Avicii and David Guetta.

Oliver Heldens recently released his new single, ‘Last All Night (Koala)’ with KStewart, on iTunes via FFRR Records. His first release last year on Pete Tong’s FFRR label, ‘Gecko (Overdrive)’ hit the top of the UK singles chart and appeared on Shazam’s forecast for the top songs of summer 2014.

Shindig recently announced that they are to return with their second ‘By Day By Night’ event on the Newcastle Quayside site Spillers Wharf. Situated upon the picturesque Newcastle Quayside the stage has been set amongst  inspiring architecture and the city’s bridges as an industrial backdrop. 

Hardwell recently released his headline Ultra Japan set in celebration of amassing over 2 million YouTube subscribers. Speaking about the event, Hardwell said: “I’m a huge fan of social media and especially the organic impact it has had on our scene. Many of my fans have found my music and followed me as an artist via social media. So when I woke up and saw I’d hit 2 million followers on YouTube, I thought it would be really cool to officially release the video of my Ultra Japan live set as a little token of my appreciation."

Opening on 17 January, Ministry of Sound has revealed its first 2015 Saturday night line-ups running through to March. The month starts off featuring line-ups including James Zabiela, 2 Bears, Cassius, Cajmere, Todd Terje, Amine Edge & DANCE, Dimitri From Paris, Erick Morillo, Shiba San, Mike Mago, and Paul Woolford. 

After bringing their 'Next Step' tour to Australia, Dusky continue to with the release of their 'Yoohoo' music video. Honing into the '90s rave era, the video plays on the idea of retro computer animations and psychedelica. 

Fuse continues to spread its wings with their next UK debut event. On 29 December the brand will venture to Sub Club in Glasgow to mark the end of 2014 with a special six-hour showcase. For the visit, Enzo Siragusa will be supported by Seb Zito and Rossko, and will join Ivan Kutz for the party.

The full line-up for this year’s Vh1 Supersonic Festival in Goa was recently announced. The second edition of the festival will take place between 27-30 December, where 60,000 revellers from around the world will descend on the beaches of Candolim in western India to enjoy five stages hosted by some of electronic music’s biggest artists.

2014 has been a big year for Lowtemp label head Gramatik. From the release of his album ‘The Age Of Reason’ to apparently selling out some of the most prominent venues in the world, including L’Olympia Paris, Denis Jasarevic has left a distinct imprint like never before this year.

‘Winter Kills Me’ is Markus Schulz’s second collaboration with Grammy Award-winning songwriter and vocalist Victoria Horn, who became popular with many Coldharbour followers thanks to her vocals on ‘Scream 2’s stalker anthem sequel, ‘Erase You.’

French house producer Bob Sinclar returns to Ministry of Sound for the club’s Christmas party at Saturday Sessions on Saturday 20 December, a special end of year appearance following his session at the club in July. 

Taking place in a Welsh forest location from 11-14 June 2015, Gottwood boasts a mystical fairytale-like setting. Entering its sixth year, the Gottwood team are excited to be bringing an established and forward thinking line-up to their wholly independent, electronic music based festival. Amongst the DJs and live acts, there’s upcoming talent and established names in equal measure and host of the 2015 new ‘The Nothing Special’ stage, Fabric’s Craig Richards, will be joined by the returning Hessle Audio co-founder Ben UFO for a special back to back set.
