Solomun continues to make a name for himself in dance music circles, largely thanks to his releases, edits and remixes, but also because of Diynamic, the hugely influential label he runs. 2013 sees the hype for him continue to grow where in Ibiza, his Solomun + 1 night at Pacha Ibiza finds him headlining with one hand picked guest playing alongside him. 

On Wednesday 17July the Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation team up with two credible names in electronic music, Just Be and Cassy, for their charity boat party setting sail from Ibiza Town at 1pm and returning at 10pm.

Dennis Ferrer gets set to drop a deep vocal house monster on London’s Defected Records. Out July 22, it’s the latest in an impressive run of releases and this new one, ‘Mind Ur Step’, sees the very cool DJ/producer team up with Chicago’s Janelle Kroll for what surely will be one of the tracks of the summer.

Clandestin kicks off at Space Ibiza this Friday promising a musical project for the chosen with a top line-up of DJs including its main Friday resident, Felix Da Housecat. Felix was born in Chicago, the capital of clandestine and illegal gambling dens, where back street doors were the entrances to the best parties and where underground movement lives without restrictions. This is the spirit that the night wants to recover through the Felix Da Housecat experience on the dark side of electronic music.

Following his recent set for the Space Ibiza Opening Fiesta, Roger Sanchez recently announced his Ibiza residency for 2013. He’ll play the Space terrace on Mondays for Café Ole, beginning on 1 July and running until 16 September.

In 2014 Bugged Out will celebrate their 20-year anniversary and across the year the brand will be celebrating the significant milestone, starting with what has become their flagship event: the Bugged Out Weekender, this time back where it all began in the North of England. After two successful events in 2012 and 2013, the 2014 Bugged Out Weekender will take place on the new dates of March 7, 8 and 9^th at a new location; the Pontins resort in Southport, near Liverpool.

As We Are One puts in place its final preparations, PvD has gone studio-side with Canadian tech-house/trance producer Arnej to attempt to crown the night with an anthem of large proportions!

Here Raxon returns to his own, Audio Tonic label with more original content, following work from the likes of Kruse & Nuernberg, Ian Pooley, The Revenge and Tom Middleton.



Jack Fell Down is a duo who have had releases and remixes on labels like Home Taping Is Killing Music, Manucci's Mistress and Southern Fried Records. They have moulded deep house grooves with various different moods and here they team up with Stee Downes, a vocalist who has worked with Nicholas on 4Lux and The Lovebirds. 

Swiss producer Ripperton releases his new studio album ‘A Little Part Of Shade’ today.The musician’s second full-length album will further deepen his impressive catalogue of work and follow the 2010 ‘Niwa’, seeing his return to Joris Voorn and Edwin Oosterwal’s Amsterdam based Green label.

Diynamic Neon at Sankeys Ibiza recently confirmed their weekly line-ups for 2013. As with last year, label head Solomun will be playing every one of Neon Nights' parties throughout the season with support from the label's stable of acts led by H.O.S.H, who'll also be joining him each week.

Ibiza clubbing stalwart, Danny Whittle, has joined forces with Eden’s new Dutch owner, Michael van de Kuit, to help guide and boost the San Antonio club’s music policy and build Eden as an international brand. As one of the island’s biggest party spaces, with capacity for 5,000 clubbers, Eden has just undergone a complete renovation and refurbishment, all aimed at making the club one of the island’s key destinations.

Time Warp recently announced the first wave of events for Sonus Festival. Set on Zrce Beach right in the heart of Pag Island, Croatia, festival-goers will be treated to five days and four nights of some of the finest electronic music.  Featuring shows from many key DJs and labels, Sonus Festival sets itself across two clubs - Papaya & Kalypso, as well as numerous beach locations and boat parties. 

With a line-up that already includes acts such as 2ManyDJs and Regina Spektor, British act Faithless recently confirmed they will be performing at this year’s Secret Garden Party which takes place on 25-28 July Nr. Huntingdon, Cambs. Maxi Jazz and Sister Bliss return with an array of dance classics including ‘Insomnia’, ‘God Is A DJ’ and ‘We Come 1’. 

ID&T recently unveiled its line-up for TomorrowWorld, set to take place on September 27-29^th 2013 in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia, USA. Featuring over 300 names from all corners of the electronic music landscape, the line-up is diverse, taking in house, trance, techno, trap, bass, disco and almost everything in between.

DJ and producer, BT will release his ninth artist album ‘A Song Across Wires’ on Armada Music on August 16, his follow-up to 2010's Grammy-nominated ‘These Hopeful Machines’.

The secretsundaze x Go Bang! mini-festival on August Bank Holiday possibly embraces a broader musical vision than many other conventional house and techno events. Headlining is Juan Atkins & Moritz von Oswald present Borderland (live) – a project and collaboration from Detroit pioneer Juan Atkins and one of Germany's most important electronic producers, Moritz Von Oswald.

The dayclub and nightclub destinations boast an eclectic array of some of the world's finest dance music DJs and producers for what will be a rammed week in the City of Sin.

Hardwell returns today with 'Three Triangles (Losing My Religion)’, released on Toolroom Records. ‘Three Triangles’ is already a club anthem in its own right and now gets an extra dimension with REM’s classic ‘Losing My Religion’ lyrics added.

After their return last month, Jellybean Soul unleash '7th Wonder' from US house music DJ/producer Roland Clark. Featuring the vocals of Dawn McClain, '7th Wonder' is a soulful groove armed with an infectious sax hook with a vibe planted in the underground camp.

16-year-old Canadian Rob Naylor will release his first signed track, 'Yes', through Garuda Music on July 1. Originally featured on ‘The Sound of Garuda Chapter 3’, mixed by Ben Gold, the track is a fast tempo banger with a dirty bassline that builds on itself, increasing in energy as it flows. With a melody and several electric moments that pull you in, Rob kicks off his career with a biggie.

Toolroom Records released ‘Soul Of A DJ’ this week, a collaboration between Chus, Boris and Roland Clark. Included in the release, Tony Dee and Hollen provide a remix crafted for the darker side of dance floors. 

Richard Durand is back to present his fourth personal installment of ‘In Search Of Sunrise’. Having previously tracked daybreaks in South Africa and India, with his 2012 Australian edition he shook up the ‘Sunrise’ system, sharing its mix duties for the first time. Now, for its 11^th excursion, Richard dusk-till-dawns in Las Vegas, where he’s recruited Hungary’s Myon & Shane 54 to the compilation.

Kris Menace releases his first live album this month – Electric Horizon Live In Barcelona - which was recorded in Spain at the Razzmatazz Clubs in Barcelona. The sold out show marked the release of the 'Electric Horizon' album and featured an exclusive live rendition of his debut single 'Discopolis'. 

Defected In The House in association with Bomba Events joins Carnival Cities to host two Saturday night parties in LAB at Sankeys this month. After three weeks of free workers’ parties in the Savannah Back Room, Bomba Events and Defected recently announced two Saturday night Defected In The House parties at Sankeys Ibiza with Carnival Cities on 15 and 22 June.

Last Sunday saw We Love... open their doors for the first time this season with Carl Craig, James Zabiela, Henrik Schwarz LIVE, Joy Orbison vs Ben UFO, Midland Vs Paul Woolford and Bicep the main players throughout the night, which also saw a top performance by Krafty Kutz and A Skills for the 2013 debut of After Dark.

Mallorca, Spain based imprint, Sub_Urban, drops its third release today, with Gaol’s ‘Get In To’ EP. Sub_Urban kicked things off in 2012 with Guri’s ‘Freedom’ EP, picking up support from the likes of MANIK, Ekkohaus, Andre Crom and Tom Budden. Here the label moves forward in 2013 with a release from Gaol, an emerging name on scene and producer of deep, emotive house music.


Robert Babicz releases ‘The Owl And The Butterfly’ on Systematic Recordings this month, the final in the artist’s trilogy for the label. It’s an album driven by Babciz’s own deep connection, or ‘oneness’ with nature he experienced during walks through the Königsforest near his home in Cologne.

Twenty-year old Lucas Nord is a rising star within the Swedish house music scene. Already achieving great success in 2012 in his native land for his first two solo singles ‘Let us Stay Young’ featuring Urban Cone and ‘Close To You’ featuring And Then, Lucas has also made an impression with his remixes for acts such as Adrian Lux, Loreen and Rasmus Faber and is currently on the dials for Crystal Fighters. 

This is something of a bitter sweet release for Superfreq as it is the last single ever to be released by duo Motorcitysoul aka Matthias Vogt and Christian "C-Rock" Rindermann, who in late 2012 decided to end their mutual work after a decade long partnership. This single came about because some months ago Texan Brett Johnson visited the German pair and was based in Christian’s studio in Hanau as he played gigs in Frankfurt, Berlin and Mannheim. 

The 2020 Vision imprint drops more fresh house cuts this June, with the ‘Boxer’ EP by Quell, comprising four original up-tempo workouts. Berlin based Quell aka Nikolaos Raptis, is a relatively new name to the house scene, but the up and comer has been striking chords as of late with releases for the likes of Kolour, Tsuba and Ibadan. Raptis grew up on a diet of indie and rock whilst living in London, but caught the electronic music bug at the tail end of the ‘90s house explosion. 

Nick Woolfson makes a return under his AKRA guise to his fledgling Teng imprint this June, with ‘TunnelVision’, backed with remixes from Matthias Vogt and Iron Curtis. Teng Records was launched by Nick Woolfson, one half of the electronic outfit, Mock & Toof, in 2012 as a platform for Nick to release a newly formed house and techno sound under the AKRA alias.

Tala returns on his Doble Ciic Music imprint with a new single backed with remixes from Third World Orchestra and Tilman. Tala is one of a new breed of South American DJ/producers who seem to be making a mark in the world of electronic music. Releasing for labels such as Leftroom and Depto he has built a strong following that now carries across to his own label Doble Clic that he runs from his base in Cordoba, Argentina.

After a successful run of two sold out dates at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center in October 2012, Netherlands based ID&T, in conjunction with Goldenvoice, recently announced the inaugural Sensation U.S. tour. 

DJ and producer Tiësto recently announced the release of his new mix album which is inspired by Stockholm, ‘Club Life – Vol 3 Stockholm’, via his own record label, Musical Freedom. Released on June 25, this latest edition follows 2012’s ‘Club Life – Vol 2 Miami’, which peaked at number 16 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. 

Chris and Steve Martinez, aka The Martinez Brothers, two young men from the Bronx raised on their father's love of the Paradise Garage, launched a long-overdue event series in March this year. Inspired by the creative synergies of their hometown, the first party launched in their native New York and was, as expected, the perfect place to get loose. Now on Sunday June 16 they bring the second installment of Mad Beats & Crazy Styles to Barcelona.

Boys Noize (Alexander Ridha ), last week announced his brand new EP ‘Go Hard’ which includes a range from classic rave, techno, rap to disco/house and acid. Boysnoize Records (BNR) was founded by Boys Noize in 2005 in order to retain his full artistic freedom while releasing his own music under Boys Noize as well as under different monikers.

Sven Väth and Ricardo Villalobos launch Cocoon Ibiza at Amnesia this Monday June 10. They will be supported by Sascha Dive and Dorian Paic, with two very special live acts - on the main floor, it’s Guy Gerber and on the terrace, Cocoon's promising newcomer Julien Bracht, who will make his Ibiza debut.

On the back of the revival of the seminal 'Want Love', Hysteric Ego begins to reveal the first cards of his hand for the 2013 summer season. The rejuvenated classic with Crazibiza and Jerome Robins is still in at the top end of the Beatport House charts, but work on something fresh for this year is already well underway behind the scenes. In a creative switch-up to compliment the imminent summer months ahead - Hysteric Ego is formulating a movement that’s aimed to turn heads in the underground with a new range of deep house creations. 

‘Defected Presents Loco Dice In The House’ is possibly one of the explosive dance music compilations of the year. Featuring tracks and remixes from artists such as Kyle Hall, Skudge, Glimpse, Diplo, Marcel Dettmann and Dice himself as well as a hand-picked selection of unreleased Desolat exclusives, this is a top release from one of the scene’s main players.

Laidback Luke has announced the launch of the new Mixmash Records radio show. The weekly show launched on June 1 and is a re-incarnation of the Super You&Me show, and kicks off with a new podcast and will be aired on a host of stations internationally with more to be announced soon. 

On the back of a good start to 2013 Dada Life release another track from their album, ‘The Rules Of Dada’. Out now, ‘Boing Clash Boom’ is the next offering, complete with a host of remixes that the Swedes have personally signed off on. These come in the form of Bingo Players, Pierce Fulton and Major Lazer (AKA Diplo), who have been selected to provide their interpretation of the track.

The 12^th instalment of Toolroom’s Selector Series comes courtesy of Ant Brooks. Since bursting on to the scene three years ago with his debut release, ‘Shuffle’, Brooks has made an impact on the global house and techno stage, becoming a popular DJ within the scene.

Goldfish, the live electronic duo from South Africa, unveiled their new animated video for 'One Million Views', the second single from their upcoming album 'Three Second Memory'. The video has been in production for nearly six months due to the detailed animation work of long time Fishie's collaborator Mike Scott and gives a cheeky, satirized look at DJ culture today.

Voted one of the top six best clubs in the world according to DJ Magazine and known for its cross genre line-ups in association with some of the biggest brands in club land, BCM recently revealed its plans for another season of summer fun in Mallorca.

June sees Yousef once again curate his Circus event deep in the heart of London's vibrant underground house and techno scene at EGG. Joining him will be Parisian based Paul Ritch, who’s already forging a solid reputation by releasing tracks and remixes on labels such as Get Physical, Quartz records, The Great Wall, Sci+Tec, Drumcode and Cocoon, whilst DJing at some of the most influential clubs and events globally including Rex Club, Paris, Melkweg, Amsterdam, Pressure @ The Arches, Scotland, and Womb, Japan.

Kitsuné Club Night is back in London at the Village Underground on June 22, where you can dance to the sounds of Gildas, who’s proved his musical sensitivity many times through his remixes and DJ sets or through his sense for new talents that he contributed launching through Kitsuné.

Singer-songwriter Julie Thompson and Finnish duo Super8 & Tab recentny announced that their collaboration 'Your Secret's Safe' will be released through Magik Muzik on June 17. Debuted at ASOT 600 in Kuala Lumpur, 'Your Secret's Safe' is the lead single off Julie’s sophomore album, ‘Eye Of The Storm’.
