Next up in Toolroom Records Anniversary Remixes series is Mark Knight and Funkagenda’s huge ‘Man With The Red Face’, which has been reinterpreted by Dutch producer Hardwell, Toolroom regular Rene Amesz and longstanding house DJ/producer ATFC. 

Tomorrowland’s ‘Book of Wisdom’ will unveil a new chapter at the inaugural edition of TomorrowWorld in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia in just a month’s time. After leaving Belgium six weeks ago, 80 shipping containers carrying the structure travelled more than 5,500 miles across the Atlantic Ocean to reach its final destination in the pristine natural landscape of Chattahoochee Hills. 

The final secretsundaze summer daytime session of 2013 in the UK marks a return to Oval Space – the scene of two secretsundaze parties this year – for the secretsundaze Closing Party, with Motor City Drum Ensemble, Mr G (live), plus residents Giles Smith and James Priestley.

Toolroom Records recently released their latest big track, Quivver Feat Angel Hart ‘I Don’t Wanna Wait’, with remixes by Ben Delay, David Penn and Pammin, with and a video shot in Miami. Quivver, who has gained support for his various club releases from A-list DJs such as Sasha, Pete Tong, Paul Oakenfold and John Digweed, has also garnered a loyal fanbase through his productions and continues to deliver lots of top productions.

Following collaborations with Hardwell (‘Dynamo’) and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike (‘More’), Laidback Luke is back with his latest single. This time he is teaming up with Frenchman Martin Solveig, fresh from the release of his latest hit single ‘Hey Now’, for their collaboration ‘BLOW’, which will be released on Luke’s own Mixmash Records imprint soon.

German producer and DJ Jonas Imbery aka Telonius is to release his debut album, ‘Inter face’, on his own Gomma label on August 30. In 1999, Imbery founded the Gomma label with his partner Mathias ‘Munk’ Modica, creating a musical platform of artists such as Esperanza, Justin Robertson aka The Deadstock 33, WhoMadeWho, Moullinex, The Phenomenal Handclap Band, Mercury and Dimitri from Paris. 

Villanova are a Marseille duo brought together over a love of analogue synths who have been making music on labels like Denote since 2012. Now Canada’s My Favorite Robot have enlisted the pair for a second EP after their MFR debut 18 months ago that comes complete with remixes from Kiki and HearThug.

Kissy Sell Out’s new track, ‘Who Walks Alone’, released September 23, is an organ-based deep house number which combines old school stylings with techy percussion. On remix duty, Toyboy & Robin weave their breezy garage house sound perfectly with Kissy’s original and Suck Fake & Daniel Brooks drop a bass-heavy crack house mix. The package is then finished by newcomers Disposition and Aussie scenesters J A S P E R and Indian Summer.

Easily one of our favourite production duos, Gabriel & Dresden keep the momentum going with their brand new track, ‘Tomorrow Comes’, out now on their label, Organized Nature via Armada Records.

Sander van Doorn and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s ‘Project T’, the track that launched the official Tomorrowland 2012 after-movie, finally gets its release on September 2 via Dutch label Spinnin’ Records. 

Mysteryland goes big this year with three compilations that represent the diversity that the Dutch festival has to bring. The 20^th edition of Mysteryland took place at the weekend, near Amsterdam in Holland.

Ronski Speed's sophomore album ‘Second World’ was recently released on Euphonic Records. ‘Second World’ is a collection of 19 melodic vocal trance tracks, opening with 'Rise Again' featuring Lucy Saunders, who was previously heard on Gareth Emery's 'Sanctuary.' 

Tomorrow, Sunday August 25 will see New York house legend Todd Terry play Hard Times 20 Years at The Warehouse, Leeds, and his recorded set will be released on the club night’s resurrected label. In 1995, the early years of The Warehouse’s history, Todd Terry played at The Music Factory, Leeds.

This Sunday for the first time in the festival’s history, Creamfields will be going live. On Sunday 25^th August from 6PM-1PM BST viewers of the Creamfields YouTube channel will be able to see live performances and highlights from across the weekend from artists including Avicii, Tiesto*, David Guetta*, Steve Angello*, Madeon, Afrojack* and many more.

Nic Chagall and Bossi recently announced that they will be taking part in Pioneer’s new DJ Art Mix project. Based on the company’s celebrated CDJ-2000 Nexus model, the duo will work alongside German urban illustrator Norm/ab_artig to custom design a unique Cosmic Gate CD player. In a special month-long online auction, commencing mid-October, music and art fans will be able to place bids on Cosmic Gate’s and other participating DJs mixers, with all proceeds channeled to VH1’s Save The Music Foundation.

Café Mambo has joined forces again this year with the Red Cross in Ibiza and Formentera to stage another Mambo In The Mix charity event tonight, Thursday 19 September 2013. Mambo In The Mix provides an opportunity for DJs who have successfully forged their careers in Ibiza to collectively give something back to the islands’ less fortunate communities

Dita Von Teese, the undisputable Burlesque queen, will get undressed once again in Spain for the first time in two years. Last time an Ibiza audience was able to admire her was back in 2011 at a previous Café Olé at Space show. The actress and model, who reached worldwide popularity thanks to her marriage with the singer Marilyn Manson, will perform this Monday August 26^th on one of the burlesque nights in Café Olé at Space Ibiza. 

We Love… continuous its legendary Sunday party at Space Ibiza with some great acts booked over the next few weeks. New talent comes in the form of Jets live with Jimmy Edgar and Machinedrum this Sunday, 25 August and on 8 September Tijana T makes her We Love... DJing debut after last appearing on the lineup as a vocalist with Abe Duque back in 2007.

Paul van Dyk recently confirmed his next project will be ‘Politics of Dancing 3’. Spinning off from his turn-of-the-millennium mix-comp series, its release will form a generational and stylistic bridge from the first two chapters. ‘POD3’ will see PvD again operate in a wide-open musical space, working with a handpicked company of singers, songwriters and co-producers, both established and nu-blood. 

Phonetic Recordings releases ‘Ritmo De La Noche - Ibiza’, this week. Compiled and mixed by Bora Bora resident John Moss, this is the label’s third compilation and continues the label’s long-term love affair with the White Isle.

21-year-old Ukrainian DJ and producer Dart Rayne releases his Garuda Music debut this week with his new track ‘Human Weapon’. Already a set favourite by Garuda boss Gareth Emery himself, the track debuted on TGEP 244 and has proved really popular since. Extensive big-room builds layered with sharp snares set the tone immediately, giving the track a nice uplifting feel.

Sandro Silva and Oliver Twizt have joined forces for a Mixmash Records tour which will take them all over North America. Both of these young artists have proved themselves in both the studio and on the stage, and as ambassadors of Mixmash they plan to excite.

It could be said that understanding what makes the dance floor tick is something that Dave Seaman and John OO Fleming are no strangers to, and this is evident with the dark hypnotic rhythm of their EP’s title track, with psychedelic trance elements brushing alongside the fairly understated tech-house groove. 

With a lot of top parties to come in 2013 at Sankeys Ibiza, the venue recently released a heads up on the club's closing party on October 8 where they'll be trying to break the Guinness World Record for the largest toga party in history. 

The PinkStar Records chief and dance music producer, EDX, recently released the official preview of his remix of Avicii's ‘Wake Me Up’. Following up on his latest track, ‘Live My Life’, that he put out for free, EDX taps into his skills as a remixer to give the single proper club-ready treatment. Here, he provides a fresh take on his progressive house sound that changes the folk-house hybrid into a new track for the dance floor.

Continuing to push the boundaries of quality house music with their hugely popular all-dayers, We Love Fundays in Glasgow, UK returns this August Bank Holiday on Sunday 25th for another slice of full-house clubbing. For this event though, promoters and good friends Allan 'Culoblanco' Whiteford, Robert McGloan and Chris McPartlin are taking it down a different route, all in aid of charity, with everyone attending being asked to pay a ticket price of £6, with all proceeds going to We Are MacMillan Cancer Support.

With Wookie’s debut release, ‘Battle’, and his underground track ‘Scrappy’, plus his remix of Sia’s ‘Little Man’, Wookie quickly emerged as one of the key players in the UK Garage scene.

U.S. DJ/producer and two-time Grammy Nominee Morgan Page recently announced his biggest ever tour - Morgan Page Presents Tour. This is Morgan’s first official tour following the “In the Air” tour that included over 35 sold out shows, resulted in Sirius XM inviting Morgan to host his own weekly show and drove over 500,000 digital tracks sales in the US and Canada alone.


Based in Miami, Florida, Markus Schulz returns home after a summer abroad for a string of dates to close out the summer and ride through the autumn. Kicking off with a key spot on New York’s famed Electric Zoo Festival on September 1, Markus will embark on a mini tour that leads into a cycle of brand new music and projects.

Out this week on Toolroom Records, ‘10 Years Of SW4’ captures the very best of the festival's history and diversity with a selection of tracks from its most iconic artists, hand-picked by the organisers themselves. Having started as a backyard party in June 2001 and growing in number over the next couple of years, SW4 was born on Clapham Common in August 2004. The first ever headliners included Erick Morillo and Sasha, with an extra three stages of acts helping SW4 become a huge sellout. 

Coming off the back of a five-year stint releasing for Warner, Atlantic and Sony, veteran dance producer Alistair Albrecht returns with ‘Feel So Alive’. On lead vocals is X Factor finalist Nicole Jackson, who recently entered the UK Charts singing for Redlight’s track, ‘Get Out My Head’.

Compiled and mixed by Defected’s Any Daniell, ‘Bargrooves Ibiza 2013’ was released this month, capturing the Balearic house spirit of the White Isle. Comprising 30 full-length, unmixed tracks that take in both current and classic Ibiza vibes, the release also includes two bonus mixes for an uninterrupted Ibiza experience.

#R3D Market, the nocturnal street market organised by Red Gallery will be throwing its closing parties tomorrow, Thursday 15^th and Friday 16^th August in Old Street, Shoreditch, London. Spurred on by great food and great music, the event has seen capacity crowds of local artists, young creatives, international students, partygoers and foodies alike, all celebrating #R3D Market’s Balearic sunset vibe in the middle of London’s East End.

With many top album releases over the years, this month Pacha gets set to release its latest compilation, ‘Pacha Ibiza Deep House’, which showcases some of the coolest sounds in the scene right now. 

Written and produced by Kevin Saunderson and featuring the vocals of Paris Grey, ‘Good Life’ was released in 1988 and went on to become one of the defining tunes of its era, maintaining “classic” status ever since. Some 25 years later, the latest producers to deliver their renditions for the first batch of 2013 remixes are Pig & Dan, Markus Lauc, Matt Smallwood, Ian O’Donovan and Dantiez Saunderson & White Chocolate.

Kaskade is set to release his new album ‘Atmosphere’, the follow up to the critically acclaimed Grammy-nominated ‘Fire & Ice’, this September. The first single to be taken from the album is the title-track, which is available now. ‘Atmosphere’ debuted on Pete Tong’s radio show and features Kaskade singing on a recorded track of his for the first time in his career. The single was followed by a remix package featuring Chocolate Puma, AMTRAC and GTA.

Beatport.com is hosting a competition inviting entries to remix 'Balls', his techno track that was released earlier this year and marked the artist's first EP release in four years. The track has since been hammered by everyone from Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier and Erol Alkan, among others.

Alistair Gillespie offers up a new single for his Gooseneck Records imprint this month, entitled ‘Wandering Bear’, backed with a remix from Trav & Volta. Sao Paolo based Alistair Gillespie, has over the years spent time living in Chicago and Los Angeles, picking up a wide variety of influences along the way, ranging from deep house and techno, through to indie and disco. As a DJ and producer, he has played venues such as Crobar in Buenos Aires, as well as appearances in various other South American clubs.

New Year’s Day 2013 saw an enthusiastic crowd descend upon the surrounds of Werribee Mansion in Australia to take a chance on Let Them Eat Cake, a new boutique festival. It promised a one-day-only event with some top DJs including Flying Lotus, Gaslamp Killer, DJ Marky, Kerri Chandler, Space Dimension Controller, Theo Parrish and many more.

The honour of resurrecting Deeplay Music in digital form is given over to acid inventor and house pioneer DJ Pierre with a new track, ‘Save Our World’, that comes complete with remixes from Moodmusic boss Sasse, Swede Alec Sonite, and Deeplay Music founder and MB Disco chief Martin Brodin. DJ Pierre, a member of Phuture and cornerstone of the early Chicago house scene is in techno mode here with raw and heavy kicks charging along beneath busy, crystalline melodies and echoing calls to action from a spoken word vocal sample. 

On Sunday October 20 Need2Soul presents another top house and soul party as Body & Soul makes a return to London for the first time since April 2012. The famous Body & Soul New York soul train – where François K, Joaquin ‘Joe’ Clausell and Danny Krivit conduct proceedings all day long – comes back to the capital for an uplifting, quality house and groove-filled day time party. 

London-based solo artist G.Logan continues to establish himself with his productions. Boasting previous production credits for the likes of Kelis, Jay Sean and Craig David, his latest release, ‘How Did We’, on Defected Records acts as further evidence of his talent.

Rod Modell, aka Deepchord, returns to Soma Records with his third full-length, this time exploring more ambient natures as he delivers his mind melting sound-scapes in ’20 Electrostatic Soundfields’. Here, he veers even farther away from the current trends in dance music with an assemblage of conceptual audio-scapes culled from video-soundtrack and installation works made between 2008 and 2012.

‘El Chiringuito Beach House Sessions Volume One’ is a compilation brought to you by Balearic label Seamless Recordings where €1 for every CD sold goes to charity. Over two discs it features two live sets from Groove Armada and Ibiza favourite, Mr Doris, packed with unreleased material and exclusive reedits recorded at the beautiful El Chiringuito Beach Club.

‘Loving You’ from Kenny Summit, Director’s Cut & Yasmeen, was originally unleashed last year on Good For You Records, hitting No.1 on Traxsource and stayed there for a whole month. Now it’s been remixes for this summer’s dancefloors, getting a makeover from top DJ/producers Dave Mayer & Husky. 

Glasgow Underground continues 2013 with the late-summer debut release from new artist Barrientos, entitled ‘Feel The Waves’.

 23-year old Glasgow-based, Barrientos was discovered by Glasgow Underground via a DJ mix on the synthglasgow.com blog where he’d combined tracks from Matthew Styles, Vince Watson, Atjazz and more into an impressive flow. 

As part of one of their best year’s yet, which celebrates their 10^th anniversary, Toolroom Records will release remixes of some of their most memorable tracks from the past ten years, updated and reworked by some of their favourite artists. Leading the ‘Ten’ campaign, Fedde le Grand’s ‘Metrum’ gets the remix treatment from Umek.

Danny Howard recently announced that he’s heading back home to Blackpool on August 8 to play his first gig since winning the Radio 1 competition a few years ago. Fresh off the back of a summer residency in Ibiza, Danny is officially launching the Skywalk Sunset Sessions by becoming the first DJ to play at the top of the Blackpool Tower.
