Make It Rain

10+ million hectares burnt. 2,000 buildings destroyed. 27 lives taken. Over one billion animals perished. Australia has suffered inconceivable destruction from mega-fires the size of Manhattan, with flames taller than the Sydney Opera House. Yet what may be burning brightest in the wake of this climate crisis, is the light of support across the world.

On 29 January, 2020 a roster of Aussie artists will hit the stage at Academy LA, including; What So Not, PNAU, Nina Las Vegas, Hook N Sling, tyDi, VASSY, Stafford Brothers, Yolanda Be Cool, GG Magree, Feenixpawl, Cut Snake, and Brooke Evers.

All profits from this “Make It Rain” event will be donated to three bushfire relief initiatives: Red Cross Australia, GIVIT, and NSW Wildlife Council (NWC)

“The feeling of complete helplessness got too much for us here in LA, and we knew we needed to channel our energy into something bigger than ourselves. We’re stoked to see how the dance music community has been so supportive of this cause and we look forward to seeing our friends and family at Academy on 29 January,” said Aussie “Make It Rain” organisers Andie Leon (Academy LA), Lorne Padman (Dim Mak) and Tyson Illingworth (tyDi).

The event will include surprise guests throughout the evening in addition to a silent auction that will allow those in attendance to bid on highlight prizes.

Those who cannot attend on the night will be able to hear the broadcast on SiriusXM Diplo’s Revolution on Saturday, 1 February.
