Tim Green

Tim Green

Ahead of the release of his Body Language mix for the Get Physical series, Tim Green offers up two exclusive tracks from it - one original and one remix. Over the last decade Green has put his touch to a stream of club tracks, releasing through labels such as Cocoon, My Favorite Robot, Dirtybird and Get Physical. As a remixer he has apparently been in demand, lending his musicianship and production to the likes of Friendly Fires, Cassius, Seth Troxler and Kidnap Kid.

Away from the studio and out on the road Green has possibly proven himself to be a DJ talent whose broad reaching selections draw from the full gamut of electronic music and have played to crowds from Fabric (London) to Space (Ibiza), Womb (Tokyo) to Watergate (Berlin). He has always offered up a varied sound that works on the floor and these two tracks both show that once again.

Up first is Green’s own original, ‘Only Time Remains.’ It finds the artist is melodic mood, with his seductive, rolling beats all overlaid with churchy chords and grand atmospheres. The bass too is big and bold and angelic vocals lend a hypnotic feel to the groove.

The remix of Junge Junge’s ‘Beautiful Girl’ featuring Kyle Pearce shows Green adding his own flavours to the track. The result is a nine minute affair that slowly unfolds and sucks you deep into his spacious world of smeared pads, tender melodies and subtly rising vocals that are emotive, dreamy and spaced out.

It’s out 6 May on Get Physical.
